THE WORKGROUP
The Technology Health and Equity (THE) Workgroup is a research, education, and advocacy group led by Dr. Delores C.S. James. THE Workgroup conducts research on how social media and current and emerging technologies can be used to promote health, improve health outcomes, and increase health equity. Our research focuses on:

Our Goals

Conduct research that promote health, improve health outcomes, and increase health equity among minority and underserved populations.

Provide opportunities for patients and stakeholder voices to be heard and reflected in all stages of research.

Deliver health education messages and programs through social media and current and emerging technologies to residents of minority and underserved communities.

Develop a cadre of youth and adult community health workers to deliver short educational messages to their communities using social media and current and emerging technologies.
